What S3D will NEVER do is print any part of the model to be oversized due to extrusion dimension capabilities. And most of the time is.slice with another slicer!.or change the nozzle for a smaller nozzle.or try and use the recently introduced Thin Wall Behaviour settings to try and get the model sliced.
Full stop! And the result is holes in the part.and its up to the user to identify that the part will not print.and do something about it. if the correct extrusion to maintain the dimensional constraints of the part being printed what happens is the slicer will simply NOT PRINT the out of parameter parts of the model. The result is a complete print.but the dimensions of areas of the part will be oversize. Let me explain.Īll other slicers work on the basis that if the correct extrusion to maintain the dimensional constraints of the part being printed cannot be achieved, what goes out the window is the dimensional constraints.and slicer will print as thin as it possibly can within the settings of the slicer. This part has crossed the bridge where the basic fundamental design of S3D differs to all of the other slicers.
